Vanity tops, shower panels, bath surrounds and window sills — natural stone and large-format porcelain surfaces that bring lasting calm and character to any bathroom across the North East.
Request a Quote Call 0191 258 1540A bathroom is one of the few rooms in the house that genuinely rewards the use of natural stone. The material's cool, solid character suits a space designed for calm — and because bathrooms typically see less aggressive use than kitchens, stone surfaces last exceptionally well with straightforward care.
We work with marble, granite, quartz and large-format porcelain for bathroom projects across Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland and County Durham. Every piece is templated and fabricated in our North Shields workshop to fit your specific room — no off-the-shelf compromises.
Nothing dates — marble and stone only improve with time.
Sealed stone and porcelain handle wet environments well.
Large slab panels mean far less grout — and far less mould.
A material bathroom that outlasts trends and trends.
Stone and porcelain surfaces work across every part of a bathroom. These are the applications we install most often.
A stone vanity top brings immediate presence to a bathroom. We cut and finish every piece to your exact basin configuration — undermount, inset or vessel — with a polished or honed edge profile. Marble Calacatta and Nero Marquina are perennial favourites; quartz and granite offer more resilience for busy family bathrooms.
Large-format porcelain and stone slabs create clean, grout-free shower walls that are significantly easier to maintain than traditional tiles. Panels are templated carefully to align neatly around niches, shower heads and drainage channels, achieving a settled, architecturally considered finish.
Stone bath surrounds, ledges and window sills complete the picture. A matching stone sill above a freestanding bath or beneath a shower window ties the material through the space. We also fit hearth-style bath decks and stepped surrounds for statement feature bathrooms.
Marble is the most popular choice for bathroom vanity tops and feature walls — its cool, veined surface brings quiet luxury to the room and typically needs only periodic sealing and careful product choice in the shower area.
Large-format porcelain is the practical choice for shower surrounds and wet rooms. Non-porous, zero sealing required, resistant to acids and cleaning products, and available in every visual style from Calacatta marble-effect to industrial concrete. It also gives grout-free joints for a cleaner finish.
Granite suits family bathrooms where a harder-wearing, more forgiving surface is preferred. Its density makes it one of the most moisture-resistant natural stones for vanity tops and wet area applications.

View ceramicThe questions we hear most often when homeowners are planning stone bathroom surfaces.
Yes — undermount basin cut-outs are one of the most common elements we produce for bathroom vanity tops. The aperture is precision-cut and finished to a clean edge during fabrication, giving a seamless, hygienic result that's far easier to clean than a surface-mounted basin.
Marble can be used in showers but requires more maintenance than porcelain or granite — it needs sealing and is sensitive to acidic shower gels and shampoos if left to sit. Many customers opt for marble on the vanity top and large-format porcelain in the shower area for the best of both worlds.
Large slab shower panels have far fewer joints than tiled surfaces, which means less opportunity for mould or grout discolouration. The surface itself simply needs wiping with warm water and a mild cleaner. Natural stone panels should be sealed periodically — we advise on this at installation and provide a full aftercare guide.
