Precision vein-matching with Florence Quartz: A recent kitchen installation in the North East

This kitchen worktop installation was referred to us by the client’s parents, who we had the pleasure of working with back in 2023. It’s always a privilege when past clients recommend us to family and friends, and it motivates us to maintain the highest standards on every job.
This particular project involved the supply, fabrication and installation of stunning Florence quartz from FugenStone, a premium choice known for its refined marble-like appearance and subtle veining. The design brief called for three mitred end panels across all exposed ends, each one carefully vein-matched for a flawless, continuous flow throughout the kitchen.
Mitred end panels are not just a visual feature; they require a high level of skill and precision to execute properly. The join must be clean and perfectly angled, while the veins in the stone need to align seamlessly across the vertical and horizontal surfaces. Our stonemasons templated, cut and assembled each piece in our workshop in North Shields, ensuring absolute consistency in the finished result.
The upstands were also fabricated using the same Florence quartz, and the vein flow was continued through each section, a detail that elevates the entire installation and demonstrates the craftsmanship involved. The result is a highly polished, cohesive finish that balances form and function.
